Education and administration — not advice

Fieldstone is education and administration software for people who run private foundations. It is not a law firm, an accounting firm, or a registered tax preparer, and nothing on this site — calculators, calendars, generated documents, or AI answers — is legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice.

Estimates are estimates

Every figure Fieldstone produces — payout amounts, excise projections, deadlines — is a planning estimate computed from the numbers you provide and the current public IRS materials cited alongside each output. Your facts may differ; forms and rules change. Verify every figure and date with a qualified professional before acting on it.

Generated documents are drafts

Documents Fieldstone generates (board resolutions, meeting minutes, worksheets) are watermarked DRAFT and are starting points for review with your attorney or CPA — never filing-ready or signature-ready instruments.

The AI advisor is corpus-bound

Fieldstone’s AI advisor answers only from a curated corpus of primary IRS sources and cites what it relies on. When the corpus does not support an answer, it says so and recommends engaging a professional. It never computes figures — the deterministic calculators do that.

When to engage a professional

Ambiguous self-dealing fact patterns, distribution shortfalls, anything touching Form 4720, formation defects, and terminations all warrant a qualified exempt-organizations attorney or CPA. Fieldstone is designed to make that engagement cheaper and better prepared — not to replace it.

No attorney-client, accountant-client, or fiduciary relationship is created by using this site. Use of Fieldstone is subject to these terms; questions to legal@fieldstonehq.com.
